New Material + Dataless Recordings

by admin on Mar.07, 2010, under Uncategorized

Finally, it seems us Brits have escaped the cold of winter for another 6 months! And with the good weather today, comes good news.

I’ve recently been involved in a side project with Lee McNeill. Together we have came up with a tech trance stormer. The track is only 2 weeks old and within 48 hours of the track being finished, the track was picked up and signed by Dataless Recordings main man, K90. The track will come with a remix from ourselves, delving into much harder sound (think alphazone!).

The track was featured on K90’s last podcast as track 14, the mix is fantastic and i recommend checking it out!

Release date will follow shortly.

Thats all for now folks!

January Update

by admin on Jan.28, 2010, under Originals, Releases

Hello everyone and happy new year to you all!

The new year has helped me make some life changing decisions, one of those being to take my music further. I have recently applied for a placement on the Music HND (higher national degree)  course at Northampton Universit. If you like the music i produce, i would really appreciate your support at this time by buying the music i release, it would be a worthy investment into the future of trance!

In relation to this, i feel its only right that you get to hear everything i produce, even if it doesn’t make it to the stores. About a year ago, i was contacted by a highly respected film director (or so i was lead to believe!), after some emails i felt it was fit that i produce a track to show what i can do outside of my dance material. The result was the epic rock/tech/filmscape monster ‘Beyond The Sun’. Unfortunatly the director (who, out of respect, i will not name) has failed to keep in contact and i now believe it was a hoax!  Anyway, heres the track…

Recently I’ve been working on a new track, those of you who tuned into my set at End Of Year Countdown over at Afterhours.fm would have heard it, due to it being in concept stages it was tracklisted as an ID. After various reactions, I’ve taken it back into production and finally i have my next single ready for release! The title is ‘Another Time, Another Place’ and relates heavily to my older sound while introducing some really heavy tech-trance into the mixture. If you’re lucky enough to be at the Anjunabeats night at Godskitchen on January 30th, keep an ear open durring Nitrous Oxides set for a debut airing, this ones not to be missed!

On a slightly different topic, myself and Joni Ljungqvist are collaborating once again, this time in remix form for a particular, well respected vocalist. The track is called “Shine” by Julie Thompson will be going under the knife as we plan to put our twist on a very uplifting and housey original. Check Julie’s fantastic album released at the end of last year through Blackhole.

Following that theme, im currently putting the foundations down for my own remix of Solarstone’s classic Eastern Sea. The track will be forthcomming on Lost Language, as yet no date is confirmed.

Please make sure you visit http://www.crystalclouds.com and look for my Afterhours.fm EOYC set if you’d like to hear my latest track.

Thankyou for stopping by!

Release Updates

by admin on Oct.23, 2009, under Originals, Releases, Remixes

Hi Guys,

Over the past few weeks i’ve had a bunch of new releases and some news of prospective releases over the next few months.

280ipf5

First up is Glacia, the track was originally produced around 2 years ago and got some great feedback from some respected names in the scene.  Solarstone, Andy Moor, Marcos, Talla 2XLC, Robert Gitelman, John O’Callaghan, Tom Colontonio, Les Hemstock, Airbase, Jon O’bir, Mike Shiver,  Michael Splint and Aly & Fila support with more to follow. Also included in 2 track package on Proxoz is a hammering mix from Mike Saint-Jules. The tracks are availible to buy from all good digital distributors.

Secondly, my first electro/housey effort comes in the form of Heatwave under my DiscoSlave guise on Engage Recordings. Under DiscoSlave i will attempt to bring a slightly different flavour of progressive and electro trance. Dancefloor tested and approved, promotional copies have just gone out, so lookout for plays from some big names. Also worth a mention is my DiscoSlave remix of Hawt’s Moonlighting out now on BlauBeat (, adding a glitchy, minimal, electroedged take on the already techy original  The track is availible to buy from Juno Download and Beatsdigital.com.

Also on the way is my latest production, ‘What We’ve Become’ which will be forthcomming through Vacine Recordings with a big name on remix duty. A very different sound to any of my other productions, its a real mixture of the ‘99 uplifting trance sound we all know and love and modern techy beats. A handful of people have heard it and the reaction has been much bigger than anything else i’ve produced, so keep an eye (and ear!) out for this one!

Also on the way is another remix for Proxoz, this time for a vocal track by Stuart Millar featuring a great vocal by Emi. The original is very much peaktime uplifting trance, but i aim to put a slightly different slant on that with a slightly techier version.

That pretty much wraps its up for the moment, as soon as i have more news on release dates and productions, i’ll be posting them right here on georgehales.com.

Thanks for stopping by…

George
